HKS lists applications from October 1992 through September 2007, depending on model. 23004-AF001 - Subaru Impreza (GC8), October 1992-September 2000, EJ20. 23004-AT001 - Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ, FA20. Match the engine build to the HKS rod specification before ordering.
SPECIFICATIONS SR20DET - H-beam, 22 mm piston pin. RB26DETT - H-beam, 21 mm piston pin, HKS STEP ZERO/1 application. 4G63 - H-beam, 22 mm piston pin. EJ20 - H-beam, 23 mm piston pin, compatible with standard stroke. FA20 - forged I-beam.
IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY The 4G63 23004-AM005 rods cannot be used with factory pistons. The HKS manual specifies a four-rod set, molybdenum grease and installation instructions. These are connecting rod sets. Pistons and crankshafts are separate components. Installation, dimensional checks and assembly must be performed by an engine builder.
